Marbling
Marbling involves floating paints on a thickened bath. Fabric is laid on top of the paint to transfer the design. I learned marbling from Mimi Schleicher, but got started when I bought a book by Laura Sims.
I combine marbling with Arashi Shibori, Vat Dye, or both. The resulting scarves have different, though related, appearances on either side.
